ACHIEVEMENTS

___________________
FOR OVER 30 YEARS, the National Technical Association Space Coast, Florida Chapter has created computer centers in low-income minority communities for youth and families alike. Our programs have reached the communities across the Space Coast in Mims (1989), Titusville (1992), Cocoa (1998), and Merritt Island (2006), and our current location (STEM Tech Neighborhood Academy) in Melbourne. These centers often introduce users to their first educational computer experience, improving technological skills that can be useful in today’s workforce. The computer centers provide software training, technical skills, youth science fair projects, tutorial programs, and competitive youth clubs. Since 2014, the NTA Space Coast has made the improvement of local computer centers for youth opportunities the priority of the organization.

HOW WE HELP
ON THE SPACE COAST

When minors are out of school, and they live in disadvantaged communities, they are exposed to an environment that does not always have the opportunities of higher-income neighborhoods. The NTA Space Coast bridges the gap to allow youth and adults to learn and expand skills. Learn more about our initiatives.
